The Sacred Alliance

We live in a world that is formed by information, which also transforms us into prototypes. Under the influence of the popular culture, we rename our indifference to all historical and social issues as “globalization”.

I created this statue based on the idea of the chaos, -that arises when, in their nature, all social values and taboos, that are pushed by modern city life, run across the reality-  and the confusion -that the modern individual, which is completely turned into a shape, feels when this event has occurred-. I cared much more about space than substance, and painted the wood in black in order to increase its stain effect.

For all the reasons I mentioned above, I named my work as –ironically- “The Sacred Alliance.”
